993 Clock Spring Part Number
#1

I tried to start a new thread in the DIY library so I could document the process in converting the 968 wheel to the 4 spoke 993/986 wheel or the 3 spoke 996/986 wheel, but I didn't have permission. So I am at least posting a picture of the 993 clockspring that is required to do this.

The part number is 993 652 211 00 for the manual transmission version (no tiptronic buttons on your 993/996/986 wheel).

that is because the DIY section is for instructions only, and not threads with responses, and i was getting a lot of junk posting and questions and such, and not DIYs, so i closed it to new therads - as soon as a DIY for that steering wheel is written, send it to me, in PDF form, and i will pop it right up there - when that happens, i'll yank this thread to clean it up

Thanks for the post Jim.

I just got my 993 wheel back from the machine shop today. I could take a picture of it if you want for your DIY if you already have yours on the car. I don't have a before picture however, unless one is taken from the 968 wheel.

Now that I know exactly the correct part number for the clockspring, I can order it from the Porsche dismantler that I mentioned before.

Thanks again ..... and Happy Birthday.
