Gas Prices
#1

:angry:I know my price for gas is better than many other areas, but I was wondering how much difference you are seeing between regular grade and premium grade in price. The stations that are not posting all three grades on their sign may have prices that are 20 to 25 cent increases between the grades VS 10 cents at the ones who post the prices. Premium can be as much as 50 cents more than regular here in Alabama.

a whopping 40 cents difference in this area b/w reg and premium. $ 4.69 for 91 grade is very common, but I've seen it at $ 4.99 at a Shell near the airport ( SFO )

Hmmmm, in the UK $2.15 - $2.35 ........... A Litre!

At the moment I'm normally paying £5.30 a gallon (99 RON) over $10 but I think an imperial gallon is a little bigger than a US one.

Prices are about the same in Alabama and Ga. Ga. used to run about 10 to 20 cents cheaper, but for the last few months they are about the same.

I live in North Carolina, very close to the South Carolina line. I drive through SC a couple of times a week and try to fill up there, as the gas tax is lower.

The best prices in NC, now, are about $3.90 for regular and $4.14 for premium. Over in SC, I can buy for $3.79 and $3.99, respectively.

Before the big run-up in gas prices, the differential between NC and SC seemed to be more pronounced. I think the "border stations" in SC around the Charlotte area are taking advantage of the NC buyers a little. Too bad about that but that's the way it is.

Around Milwaukee premium has been over $4 per gallon for weeks (or longer <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wacko.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ), last time I didn't shield my eyes while pumping I think it was $4.25. Regular is around $3.98.

Here in Austin, the jump between grades (89-to-91, and 91-to-93) averages about 15 cents.

93 octane jumped to $4.35 / gal. this morning in the Poconos, yet a barrel of oil costs less today then it did yesterday. There must be a logical reason for the disparity, no?

100 in this area has never kept up, proportionately that is, with the rest of the gas price increases - today, at the local Union 76, it's $ 5.99.

and I filled the only 5gal. space I had in the tank while I was there anyway..

Bob, you can drive up here to fill up before Paso, think of all the money you'll save <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

The prices you hear quoted are for futures contracts, and don't necessarily reflect the actual cost of the oil at the time the particular stock used to produce the gasoline you pumped into your car today.

$4.26 per gallon for 93 octane here in central New Jersey. $4.06 for 87 octane.

$80-90 to fill the tank. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> More frustrating is the random station that charges

more to use a credit or debit card. They only post the two prices for the same

gas at the pump, so you have already pulled up before you can see if there is

a difference. Uggh! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/mad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
