Here's a pic of the stair rail they're putting up, it still has to be stained darker, to match the cherry cabinets.

OK, back to the garage...this is a precise drawing to the nearest 1/16th. (with the exception of the waterheater box, which I forgot to grap dimensions on)

I believe issue with closing in a gas water heater is that it needs oxygen to burn. If you close it in then the fire would go out once it runs out of oxygen and then the enclosed space would fill with gas which could lead to an explosion.



It looks like the water heater is on an outside wall. I wonder if you could vent it to outside?
