FS: Splitter, Wheels, CS Seats / 993 Seats
#1

These items are listed on another thread.

However, I decided to list these "goodies" on their own thread to give you members the opportunity to "dress up" your 968 (or other Porsches):

1. My Tech Art front splitter is available for $1,250:

2. A set of Genuine Porsche MAGNESIUM Wheels & Center Caps finished in Speed Yellow for $5,800:

3. A set of new Genuine Porsche 18" 3-Piece Wheels with polished centers (like these) for $6,250:

4. A set of Genuine Porsche CS Seats with Speed Yellow seat backs and sliders for $5,250:

I also have a set of black leather 993 seats for $800 (a direct "bolt on" for 968s), and:

Two sets of Genuine RUF 18" wheels (8.5" fronts & 9.5" rears), plus one spare rear 18x9.5 wheel, for $5,000 per set.

I know a lot of you will feel the need to tell me about deals you've struck, seen or heard of, for similar items at lower prices.

HOWEVER, please refrain from "enlightening me" of such items, sales, stories and/or opinions.

As such, only PM me if you're actually interested in the items at the listed prices and have the ability to buy in the near future.

Thanks,

Porsche

The wheels aren't priced too far off. The genuine cup wheels were roughly $1500/each new, and now I have seen them privately trade hands for 4-5k for a full set. We sold our full set of 7's, 8's, and 9's for well more than he is asking...and they sold. They were all brand new, powdercoated Guards red though.

The splitter and seats are the only thing that might be high, but when was the last time you saw at Techart splitter forsale. Something different, and to the right buyer thats what he is going to have to pay. As to the seats, I will just say to call Porsche. New Speedster seats are $1820 to your dealers door step. Maybe the CS seats are different, not sure <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> .

are sure about that price on 17" cup wheels? i paid much less then that for brand new 18" Hollow Spoke Technology 1-piece 993 Turbo wheels @ a dealer. i don't wish to knock Porsche or his parts, but the prices are without any doubt in my mind insane. the only thing's i see as reasonably priced the 993 seats & TechArt splitter and thats only because of its rarity. the seats on the other hand...fughetaboutit, a few months ago 1 sold for $800 on ebay(white back with railing included)...to bad i didn't catch the auction in time. I'm not the cheap type and don't mind paying high prices for things that are worth the asking price, but i'm also not the type to overpay for things either. I would love to buy his seats, they just aren't reasonably priced IMO.

Maybe i'm just ignorant as to how much some of this is really worth.

Many people get the standard C2 Turbo and the Cup Magnesium wheels confused. The Magnesium cups are very rare, and expensive to obtain. They made three different sizes, and I am fairly sure they were different than the standard C2's, but I don't remember off my head. In general, we had 7's, 8's, and 9's. We ran 7/9 combo on short tight tracks, and 8/9's on higher speed tracks where turn-in was less important. The car came with the 8's and 9's, and we bought the 7's at about $1500/piece if I remember correctly. Sold the entire set for $6100 with the cup car I think. Prices and sizes may be off as its been over a year, but there are people that know all the sizes, etc...

That's right boys, you read correctly, the Cup wheels that I have available are MAGNESIUM. Very light, very rare and expensive.

Are you returning your car to stock? Best of luck with the sale.

If I recall correctly, the splitter needs a little paint.

Not quite back to stock. Meaning, I replaced the B&B exhaust with a RS Barn exhaust. After having the B&B, I couldn't bring myself to put back on the HEAVY stock exhaust.

The TechArt splitter had a "DP Motorsport" sticker on it which made it look like it needed paint. However, I simply pulled the sticker off to reveal flawless Speed Yellow paint. As such, no, the front splitter does not need paint (e.g., as long as your car is Speed Yellow!).

I recently bought the black M030 968 that John Wade had for sale on this board a week ago. John informed me that you had contacted him and were interested in purchasing the Ruf Speedline wheels. If you're still interested, email me at mfredette(at)micron.com

For Sale:

NOS Genuine Porsche front splitter - $550 + $45 shipping/insurance

In the pursuit of returning my 968 back to stock, I had my technician remove the aftermarket front spoiler that came on my car (e.g., when I purchased it from the previous owner)

I was planning on installing a Genuine Porsche 968 front splitter that I purchased from Raj a couple years ago. However, I have decided that I like the car with NO splitter.

As such, I am selling the Genuine 968 front splitter that Raj sourced for me. The splitter is new unused/pristine/perfect condition. It comes from the factory in primer grey, ready for paint.

I paid Raj $550 for the splitter and will pass it to the next owner at the same price (just add $45 for shipping anywhere in North America).

I am willing to ship outside the US, but would prefer a North American buyer.

The unit is already boxed up ready to ship (hence the lack of pictures). However, if you have to have pictures, I'll unbox it and take some shots.

Here is what the splitter looks like painted and installed:

Thanks,

Porsche

PS: I had the Club Sport seats sold, but couldn't part with them. Thus, they're going in the car for Parade 2007 and officially off the market!
