Floor mats for Christmas !
#1

Hope everyone had a great Holiday !! I got the cocomats I wanted for my car. I have to say the quality is excellent. Very heavy duty. I can't imagine ever wearing them out. No more sliding floor mats.... Anybody else get 968 Stuff ?

I checked out the website - they look really nice Rico. I am thinking about ripping the carpet out, cleaning the goo, painting and putting those in al fresco.

Finally got the mats. I really like them. They are a bit heavy, but they completely stay put without any straps (I kept breaking the straps that come with the Lloyd's mats). bva noted that he had them but removed them as they shred bare flesh. True - when I was working on my glove box fix I came up and my hand was slashed and bleeding. I guess the natural fibers are sharp. Mine is #43 sisal, which matches the classic grey carpeting pretty well.

Nice ! Looks great. They are certainly a little heavy. I don't think they will ever wear out. They don't move around at all. No straps needed. Definitely pull them out if you are working under the dash................

They look great! The fact that they do not move around it tempting. My current mats look good but always seem to slowly slide under the pedals. I may need to come up with a velcro fix.

NOTE: There was a 997 owner at ESCAPE 2010 this year that was having problems starting his car on occasion. I mentioned to him that it might be the floor mats under the clutch pedal, not allowing him to fully engage the clutch at times. That's exactly what the problem turned out to be and his local PORSCHE dealer had not been able to solve his problem on two attempts! They did however know how to charge hime for the "shop time"! Do the CocoMats come with PORSCHE script or logo?
(I guess I could check the website)

No option for scripting the mats as far as I know. If you find out different I'm going to be sad - never thought of asking. My old pad slid around and bunched up under the pedals one too many times. I tried cutting them and finally threw them in the trash and went without until the cocomats showed up.

The website gives you a pretty good tour and the principal is a real nice guy who will help you with any questions. So far one of my favorite additions to the car. Problem is though the car is gaining weight, so I need to figure out how to get rid of equivalent heft to what I am putting in...
