First spirited drive...
#1

And guess what busted... The damn heater control valve! I should have known better it was one of the things on my list of immediate to do's. Getting the garage finished is first priority before I can play with the car so I have not been paying much attention to her... well I guess I have to make an exception. I ordered two of them from Paragon Products. The spare will sit next to the DME in the trunk

I'm about due for my two-year coolant change, and I'm going to replace the OEM HCV with the Autozone Audi part. Then, the OEM part will go next to my spare DME relay.

968... I bought a Red 94 M030 55K, a couple of weeks ago. We have a few projects going at once... The day the car was delivered I took it off the truck and into my garage. A few hours later while I was out the concrete demo guys showed up and started their work 2 hours early. I was bummed. We had pavers installed on the driveway and they just completed that work. Two days ago I got back to work on the Garage and the car was set free... well now it will be sitting until I get the new part ... I really need to concentrate on the garage and other projects though so it is not so bad.

Speaking of garage work I am currently installing airconditioning in my garage. If all goes well it will be working tomorrow!

But I just had a drill accident that caused my thumbnail to almost sever the end of my thumb

How typical is it that the HCV goes out; typical irony.

Can speak out of experience, drilling the thumb with a broken bit is no fun.

Bruce, what kind of A/C are you putting in your garage?

I am installing 3 12,000 BTU (1 ton) mini split ductless AC units. One goes in my server closet and the other two in the garage. They have a heat pump outside with small copper pipes leading to the evaporator and fan inside.

I bought them from http://www.ricoma-air.com who had the best prices I could find.

I will let you know how they work.
