Does anyone have a set of the plastic covers that came on the 92 and I think 93 968's? One covers up the junk behind the engine, and the other surrounds the air box, and has the small storage compartment in it... I would be interested in both in very nice to mint condition, or restorable to same. $200.00 fair price??? They used to be available from Porsche but I would guess they are out of production now...
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Flash! Long time no speak! I bought a turn signal lens from you years ago for my black 92... don't recall if you remembered, but thanks again!
Yeah, I was thinking I may have to engineer some fitment for these, but sure would like to have them for my 94, as they make the engine compartment looked finished. Years ago, I could ordr them from Porsche, but I suspect they are all gone now... even back then, it took my dealer two tries to get a good part! guess it wouldn't hurt to ask Porsche...

I think these covers shouldn't be that hard to find used. You can find them on 92s, 93s, and the early 94s.

I've got these covers in my engine bay and find them to be kind of a pain during maintenance, additionally they make inspection that much more time consuming. Audi does the same thing in their engine compartments, I personally feel it hides critical components and provides a place for dust/dirt to accumulate. In fact, I might consider ditching mine soon...............

Flash, thanks for the pointers, is it possible the front cover could be trapping some of the radiant heat from the radiator / AC condensor in the airbox intake area? It seems once the cover is installed there is limited openings to the outside (cooler) world

I am located in Elkhart, Indiana 46516.. middle of the country!
I think if it were well bubble wrapped, and then wrapped in a cardboard cover, and taped with clear shipping tape, it would make the journey ok...
Maybe add a bubble wrap covered wood piece inside to support the trim plastic, like a piece of 2 x 2" trim wood??? Suggestions welcome... no sense shipping if it would not make the trip!
I would think maybe FedEx? I don't have much faith in UPS or USPS....
