Economy drives!
#1

This has to be an unusual topic for a performance car like ours but my 968 never ceases to amaze me.
I have just returned from a 725km trip on one tank of fuel. After filling up I did the calculations and found my car did 29.9 mpg (or 9.4l per 100kms in kiwi economy terms).

The trip was certainly not freeway driving and included lots of twisty bits where I could put my foot down. But once I'd gone halfway and could see the potential for a best ever mpg I relaxed the right foot.

I'm so impressed that at 130000kms the car could still return that kind of economy. What's the best you've managed!

I routinely get 28 mpg (US) on the freeway. Less if I'm pushing hard on the back roads of course. the last time I drove to Los Angeles from the SF Bay Area to visit my son, I made the trip on a single tank of fuel, nearly 400 miles. Like you said, not bad for, in my case, a 16 year old car with about 150,000 miles on it.
