I bought one off of eBay - a Purple Cab: they didn't have one in Horizon Blue Metallic. Nice little model to stick on my desk at work.

the only horizon blue cab is made by matchbox, and i have the only one i have ever seen or heard of (there is a horizon blue hardtop though by nzg i think)

jeff has the only white hardtop i have ever seen, and it's by nzg

i just bought a second display tower to house all of these - i'll put up a pic of the 2 towers once i have them loaded - i've been dragging my butt on putting them in there

Why is it so hard to find a black coupe?

&

Why did they paint so many of the models purple and gray? Gray I kinda get, but purple? How many real purple cars sold? Im guessing 5.

My collection is very modest, but I do keep my eye out for unique ones here and there. I prefer the NZG models to the Minichamps but the Minichamps appear to have a bigger variety.

I've got:

NZG Silver 968 Cab

NZG Purple 968 Cab

NZG Horizon Blue 968 Coupe

Minichamps Silver 968 Cab

I also have some other interesting ones - 911, 959, 928, 944 914 in some interesting colors...

...but the one I'm most fond of is the NZG Blue 911 Targa that is probably the closest color you can get to the Pacific Blue Metallic on my '82, so I actually do have one mini version of my actual car. I don't think there is a White Cab or Black Coupe.

Another item to add to my "Merry Christmas to me!" list!

I just ordered ALL the back-issues of Excellence Magazine that have anything 968 related (I think it was about 15 issues) as part of the "Merry Christmas to me" wish list. Last year the purchase of my 968 was my "Merry Christmas to me" item. So... for this year, a couple hundered here, a couple hundred there, the wife should understand!

Thanks for the feed back guys!

Brian,

Nice NZG collection!

Attached is photo of my current 1:43 Starter resin collection with some 1:24 Hasegawas that have been converted to 968 TRS models. 1st of 3 Starter set (Red is complete), 2nd (Yellow) is being built and I just got the 3rd model in the set off Ebay. Hope to have all 3 by "Taking it to the Streets" event.

Ah...you're the one who beat Bob on the Blue Metallic Starter 1:43.....I figured it would have been someone here. Just hope he doesn't revoke your membership privileges! [Image: tongue.gif]

If anyone needs an NZG Red, Silver or Black Cabriolet - or - Green Met. Coupe, they are available right now at www.ebay.de (Deutschland - Germany) ranging in price from 30 to 40 Euros plus shipping. The NZG and Starter models are available if you are willing to search continually and pay top price, with most of them coming from Europe. Hey, maybe someone attending an uncoming 968 event this year will part with their Hasegawa, Minichamps, NZG or Starter 968 models!
