Hi there



just had an alarm fitted today, and took the car for a drive at night. Only recently got the car, and have not dirven it much at night before. Have no owners manual. The 2 light switches over on the door side of the steering wheel - it's a RHD car - have a dipped beam indicator for sidelights non-dipped indicator for fogs. I'm pretty sure both came on individually before, but now the outer one comes on individually, but the inner will only light up if the outer is also on = in this postion Sidelights come on and rear fog light, but not front foglights. if I put on full beam front fogs come on with them, and off with them



Is this standard, or have the wiring guys mucked it up? - surely front fogs should come on with rear fogs and sidelights/lowbeam?

I know on my car the fogs are on a manual dash switch and the driving lights come on automatically with the high beams only, the fogs turn off automatically with high beams (if they are on).

Hi and thanks for the reply - I've got the car back fro the alarm guys, and rrally don't want them touching the car agian - missing trim poppers, etc - so now my fogs dont work with the dash switch - only the rears -so it's something I'll have to sort out myself....

The "fog" lights won't come on if the high beams are on. The other light beside the fog light is the high beam. The fog light is used as the daytime running light also. They will come on if the headlights are not switched on but will go out (unless the switch is on) as soon as the headlights are turned on.

on canadian cars, that is correct



on US cars, the fogs come on with the low beams and with the parking lights - the driving lights come on with the high beams
