i had some spare time so i ordered a new fuel rail cover to replace the one that the previous strut brace damaged - i had it powder coated to match my paint - the question now is the letters - i am thinking the silver raised letters - what do you think?

Your in a fashion conumdrum! You have blue and silver so your screwed, cold colours; you have to go silver. The only thing that might work is yellow if you really into a bold statement. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> It will tie in with your oil filler cap. I would paint them with silver high temp paint.



You should do an extra cam cover and intake manifold to match.

I just so happen to know where you can pick up an extra set....

i am thinking the raised letters from jaeger in silver - no patience for painting, and don't want it to chip



not looking to coat anything else - there is such a thing as too much of a good thing - i was just looking to break up all that aluminum a bit, and give it some punch



but, thanks - even ayn thinks it looks good, so i guess i did all right

me too, just can't bring myself to justify in excess of $ 100 ( after adding tax, shipping, etc ) for a CAP !

I think you should have Recaro send a swatch of the tan leather from your interior to Jaeger to laser cut inserts for your lettering.



Of course, matching leather cover for your oil fill cap



Ultra-suede for your engine compartment surrounds?

somebody makes plastic stick on raised letters, and probably in silver. PO put carbon fiber variety on the cover. I removed these for polishing. They actually looked pretty good.

I too would like to change the yellow filler cap but the billet one at Jaeger is a bit $ steep for me, it is just a filler cap. Sounds like another job for "Super Wurth", I'm sure it'll stick to plastic. Hell, it's been on my thumbnail for a week <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Nice cover! Ever thought of painting the machined slots in the tower brace body color? It would carry the injector cover color up and left-to-right.IMHO

What are those two yellow things on the engine? They look like bananas in a sea of engine beauty.

i agree - i had to add the silver letters to tone down the blue a touch - i wanted something to break up all the aluminum, but once i got it in there, i found that i had to back it off a bit
