Was wondering what you guys run your car at, in terms of RPM, on the typical 35 and 45 m.p.h in-city boulevards?
For example, my car likes to run in the 3200-3400 RPM area. It runs great and I never get a check engine light. However, I seem to get the check engine light when I run in the 2500-2800 RPM area.

I am no expert in this area, but last year I also had the "Check Engine" come on at times and it would go away with higher revs. After I changed the spark plugs, the light has NEVER come on again. So... if you have not changed your spark plugs in a while, I would suggest that you do that. It makes sense, since it means the fuel is being burned up more efficiently and thus the O2 sensor in the exhaust system is not detecting exhaust measurements that make it prompt the "Check Engine" light to go on. Something like that... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/glare.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
