Think you might find the loom is already there,
Two plugs by the side of the central electric fuse box, and connectors over by the battery but in the engine bay
Almost all USA cars have the loom

The mounting point for the cruise computer is up above the hood pull and sort of beside the fuse box, should be a round plug near the RH strut tower if you have the engine bay trims it might be hidden under there, only one connection in the engine bay for the motor
Think if you have the rest then two plugs by the pedals one for the clutch and one for the brake, the only part that you might have to make is the connector lead from the column switch to the main loom

Quote:So that if you are coming up on another car or other situation that requires the brakes, it disengages the throttle. Same thing happens with pushing in the clutch, with the difference there being that when you release the clutch, it will automatically resume prior speed.
That is not true, the only time cruse should resume automatically is after accelerating with you right foot above what the cruise is set at, when you take your foot off the car should just slow down to the set speed
the reason I say this is, if you set the cruise at 50mph in 5th the dip the clutch to change to 6th, the speed is controlled by throttle position by changing gear your speed compared to throttle position and gear ratio will have changed
this has been the same in the last 6 cars I have owned with cruise

having not had a lot of time today,
there are 3 different looms for the engine bay, but they do not state if cruise is included or not
but you did mention that the brackets are wrong for the motor, now here's some good news, they are available from Porsche at not stupid money,
that main motor bracket is £6.71 inc tax

there are two different clutch pedal switches, one RHD one LHD
here's a picture, tell me what you need and i will tell you if its available
