Crestfallen
#1

I included this in a reply to another question but thought it might best be its own topic.

Today the center crest on one of my wheels popped off my wheel.  Looks like the epoxy holding in on failed to hold. Does anyone have a preferred epoxy to put the puppy back on with?  Don't want to lose it between here and Tahoe and my car can't show up half-dressed.

Yep, this crest was glued into the cap, but it looks stronger than Elmers, at least the stuff I used in grade school.

I had one pop out on the center cap on the 993 wheels I was running those on the 968. I popped all of them off and thoroughly cleaned the back of the shield and the center cap, then I roughed them up with a few threats about broken legs and sleeping with the fishes, and of course some sand paper. I glued them back in using black weatherstrip glue because it's about impossible to get it off when I put it someplace I don't want it to be, and of course it's weatherproof and waterproof. They were still right where I left them when I sold the wheels to a guy with a 993 in Santa Cruz.
