Coast to Coast in 29 Hours!
#1

OK, I know this is illegal, and controversial but I am sure our group will find it to be interesting. I am of the opinion that most speed limits are municipal money grabs anyhow. Does seem pretty risky that he is blatantly advertising his "accomplishments".

I wonder what Richard from Gas Monkey Garage thinks because I thought he had the fastest time to date. Maye they took a different route.

The dude that posted the video of the record around Manhattan just got busted after the fact by the man.

You weren't kidding when you said you don't sleep!

I also thought of that Manhattan dude, as well as the Japanese Ferrari driver.

Yeah. You guys need to get some sleep ! LOL . Hey, I'm wearing a vampire costume for Halloween and just trying to stay in character, what are your excuses ? Back on topic though : alongside those two other idiots who engaged in stunts arguably posing a greater danger to the public than this crew's cannonball run ( given the respective venues ) the numbskulls who record their own illegal acts deserve everything that's coming to them..simply for being stupid. No plausible deniability to save them. It's one thing to post something on a forum, or tweet, or blog, or make statements in front of an audience, etc about committing any given violation of the law ; you can always " take that back " and assert you were deliberately making false claims for whatever number of reasons, but just a tad more difficult to argue the same when you're

on film and / or the acts are well documented and witnessed. I presume 20 mph in excess of the speed limit may be a felony in many states, certainly the 153 mph is reckless endangerment, and who knows how many other offenses, so it will be interesting to see how many States authorities go after these guys and what the cost and result of their escapade might be.

They might have done all of those things that some think are reckless dumb and stupid. Yet if the tales of their feat are true, kudos to them.

Where is our American spirit that finds feats like these fun, humorous with a slight tinge of jealousy that we don't have the nerve to do it!

I hope it's not because we are all becoming old fuddy duddies!!!!!

I find it interesting how reckless and dangerous everyone seems to think this is (it's on every car forum I read). If you did this same route and averaged 65mph, people in the 1920's and 30's would say you should be arrested! I wonder in 30 years how big of deal averaging 98mph cross country will be, probably not at all.

My excuse is insomnia and then movies like Giant come on at 1:30 am and keep me up until 3:30 then the Red Green Show comes on...

I would love to do a cannonball run. I think it would be really fun.
