Chesapeake Challenge 41
#1

I know this is after the fact, but we took our 968 to this years Chesapeake Challenge and it was awesome! The Chesapeake Region of PCA put this event on at the Maryland Yacht Club and unfortunately we were the only 968 representing our fine model. After about 8 hours of car show, gimmick rally, dinner and "Porsche Bingo" it was time for the awards. My wife's 968 cab took second in the people's choice car show and she won first overall in the rally! I'm still blown away that she can drive AND find things on the side of the road at the same time. We had an absolute blast and I highly recommend this event to all 968 owners in VA/MD/PA. This year's event was blessed with nearly perfect weather (it was a little windy) and as always, the Chesapeake Region had a professional and fun atmosphere.

On a side note, the president of the Chesapeake Region told us about their 50th anniversary event next year. It's tentatively scheduled to be held at the Naval Academy Stadium and they intend to have one car from each year Porsche has been producing cars. They asked us if we would represent 1992 with our 968! We were shocked and honored, if you're in around Annapolis next June, come by and see us!

Thanks guys! It was a big day for my wife, she really made a big splash with the Chesapeake Region folks.

I'm in the process of cleaning up the photos that we took. Unfortunately, the lighting conditions were less than optimal for good photos, especially once the sun started to set. I should have them complete in a day or so and I'll post the link to photobucket for all to see.
