Change in Ownership
#1

When Eric Sandoval created 968Forums, his intention was to build a 968 specific, technical site, which would rise above the fray of a divided community. As life would have it, Eric’s business profile was rising at the same time that 968Forums was steadily growing and ready for some serious upgrades and attention. Eric carefully considered his decision as to who the new owners should be, and after lengthy discussions, determined that Bob Larson, Pete Fitzpatrick and Jay Kravitz would provide the leadership and support that an encyclopedic repository and community needs to keep the history of these vehicles, and the ability to keep as many as possible on the road. The responsibility of ownership is one that we take very seriously, and one which we have always felt we would need to pass on, thoughtfully, when the time came. As Eric before him, Pete made some very important life decisions last year when he decided to close the service portion of RS Barn and continue with his focus on racing and, more importantly, his family. A change in ownership is a step in every on-going concern that requires careful planning and much discussion, and with a great deal of privacy and respect for everyone’s position.

It is, with this in mind, that we announce that Pete has decided to relinquish his ownership share of 968Forums. Pete will remain a vital resource as a “Technical Advisor” to this forum. We cannot imagine that any forum that would exclude Pete as a member can ever really claim a comprehensive knowledge of the 968, and we value his on-going contribution to this site.

We will announce other changes in the coming weeks as we take steps to assure that this forum will have strong, meaningful and diverse leadership. We will make these announcements in our own time as they become appropriate. Until that time, we remain committed to providing the best resource for information, understanding and a vibrant community for all 968 enthusiasts.

Jay
