CDR-220 Mechanical Installation Problem
#1

I have my new CDR-220 installed but it is sticking out about inch. It feels like it starts into the top and bottom rear left and right support springs, goes back in maybe an inch further and then just hits a hard stop.

In my research prior to purchase it looked like a number of fellow 968 owners have gone with the CDR-220 so I am surprised to be having problems. What do I need to do to get it to fully seat in??

Thank you very much!!

I have the 220 installed, and is sitting flush. very tight back there, and seem to remember having to fiddle a bit getting cables out of the way etc. before I got it all the way in

I had a similar problem when installing the new head unit in my daughter's BMW E46. Like Madridcab says, it was a matter of working for awhile to make sure the wires are all tucked out of the way. It's a time-consuming and tedious job, and I was afraid I'd kink something or strip the insulation off some wires as I was struggling to cram everything back there, but I finally got it.

I though I had it but it stopped a 1/4" of an inch short of seating and it will not come back out. I guess I will attempt to take the console apart. I do love the deck so far. It is great to listen to my favorite Slacker stations and play lists again.
