Carbon Fiber Dash?
#1

I've never been a fan of aftermarket dash pieces (wood, chrome or carbon fiber) but The black interior of my car is a little stark. Saw a silver 968 on the forum somehwere on here and he had added the carbon fiber trim across the middle of the dash and around the shifter. It's growing on me. I think that might add a nice touch. Problem is the only place I have seen it for sale was 9xauto.com and it was over $500. Way too much for my wallet. Knowing that you get what you pay for... does anyone have any other sources for this trim?

the interior is rather spartan - for some of us that is an attractive thing - others want to spice it up

since carbon fiber trim is a fad now pretty much passing on (now being replaced by metals), it's going to be harder to find the stuff - also, the cheap kits never did fit very well, whether they were carbon fiber or wood - they would leave gaps and pop off in the heat - the only kits that seemed to be "ok" were the expensive ones

like you say, "you get what you pay for"

i did find another one a long time ago that looked like it might be decent, but it was even more expensive

sorry, i'm not much help here, and that wasn't what you wanted to hear

You can find the cheap ones on Flea-bay. The fit looks to be ok, but I don't know about the heat issue. The stuff is stuck on with 3M adhesive backing.

Pat aka Porsche dude had the CF trim done. It's Not bad but at the same time doesn't add much.
