Car took a fit
#1

Yesterday I went for a drive in the evening and the car, after I got out of the driveway, did not want to idle below 3000 rpm (but was very steady and smooth there). After a bit it idled up and down very regularly (about every 2 sec) between 1000-3000 rpm. It did not try to stall. The idle regulator is new this year. Then, all of a sudden, it was fine. I drove almost 700 km today with no issues. Any ideas?

PS - maybe it was reacting to the free centre cap supplied by Bob Blackwell!!!

That sounds like the way a bad vaccuum leak would react. It's odd that it went away.

Could it have been the DME re-learning for some reason, dead batt, codes cleared; Stuff like that?
