I have a car seat that worked well in the back of my '92 cab (blue fabric - i beleive it is a graco century). Fits very well on the carpet, and is even OK with a person in the front (short person who does not mind the seat being way forward that is). I did have to take off the seat bottom (part that allowed the seat to tilt to the proper angle) and remove a bit of the top lip so the cab top could come down. But in the end, I was very comfortable with my 3 year old in the seat.
I used (2) of the non-retracting seat belts to slide thru bottom slot and back slot to hold it in place, and attached the top tether to a bolt in the trunk (there are threaded holes directly behind each rear "seat" in the trunk - I think maybe the were planning for this in the future...). The carseat at this point was basically immobile - way more secure than it was in a regular car.
anyway child is older, and doesnt use it anymore. If anyone is interested I can send pics of the seat. Cant really put it in the car anymore as I have seats back there now and the car seat wont fit (only works with the carpet).
