Check out Nacimiento Road (I think it may also be called "Hunter-Liggett Road" in parts). It's the only way I know about. I haven't taken it in a number of years, but it is a great road. Goes through the mountains and gets quite narrow and very very tight curves (= you have to go slow in parts - no choice). A wonderful road that should be a blast in a 968. It's not a good route if you're in any kind of rush. It's going to take some time, but is well worth it.

The last time I was on it was probably a good 20 years ago. It was paved, but narrow, windy, no other cars, and you're out in the middle of nowhere with some spectacular views. Make sure you have gas, water, and munchies. If my memory hasn't gone completely south, you're going to love the drive. Of course, with Hwy. 1 closed, it might be seeing a few more cars these days. If you do wind up taking it, please post a report. I'd love to hear about it and find out how well my brain cells are still functioning
