Cabriolet cover
#1

Does anyone know where I can buy a cab “half cover“ which I heard was available at one point, designed to go over the open top of the car when you parked it and just wanted something simpler and quicker than putting up the soft top itself ?

I’m looking to do that with my coupe when it’s in Targa mode and I don’t feel like removing the hard top and putting it back on every time I park somewhere ..

I can probably buy a generic half cover , but the 968 one should fit very well, so checking out that first..

Thanks !

I’m pretty sure I got the one for my Cab from California Car Covers You’d have to call them and discuss. The way it attaches to the cab is two tabs that get shut in the boot and Velcro straps around door handles, mirrors and wipers. They’d need to shorten it up to fit into the rear hatch. Or make it longer so it covers the rear window.

They’re really easy to work with. When I bought mine, it worked great except that it was too small to work with the top up. I told them I’d like something that would cover the top, too, as I lived in Las Vegas and although I rarely drove it with it up, I’d like something to keep the sun off it when it was. They made me another one that was a couple inches bigger overall and it works perfect.

And I’m still using it 15 years later. (As a matter of fact, it’s on my car out in the parking lot right now)

Awesome, thanks !  Very helpful info ;  I’ll call to inform them it’s for a coupe so various allowances might be needed for the fit adjustments, particularly over the back window .  But they may even have a “sun protection” cover for the top half of the coupe, which would be perfect,,.if it’s made from durable material  ( I’ve seen some really flimsy ones on cars ) .

Mine is a little tight because of the roll bar.

You known now that you mention it Jay, mine might be a CoverCraft, too. I’ve got 3-4 covers, it’s hard to keep them straight.
