Yeah, the difference is less. Where it hurts in when you return one. The leased 2008 Cayman S listed at $90K, I "got it" in May 2009 for $75K. I bought 120k km over 4 years and it had a residual of $29,550 at the end. When I brought it back, after 3 years and with only 75k km, it was "appraised" at $30K. So, I guess, keeping it one more year and driving it an additional 45k km would have decreased its value by only $450. But that where the pricing hurts - most of my friends drive US cars that they bought at a discount 3-4 years ago and now, with money about even, you can't get back a fair value if you paid the Canadian price before the parity. They just can't sell a 2008 Cayman S at the price needed to value the one I brought back at a fair price based upon normal depreciation and original selling price.
But the 2009 Carrera 4S with only 9000 km seems to be about the same price as it would cost in the US.
