blue car, blue ignition wires
#1

does anyone know if the "heavy duty" ignition wires from performance products

are of better quality, or at least as good as the o.e.m. wires ?

these have a blue silicone outer coating and I just thought it might add a little spark to the appearance of the engine bay. superficial as it may be, take a look at how nice Bodacious' ( Russ' ex 968, guards red ) works with matching red wires..

Pepboys sells colored tubing that looks great all over in the engine bay (you could just cover the wires with it)...for reference, you can go see "the fast and furriest"

Couldn't resist.

I bought these from Paragon http://www.paragon-products.com/product_p/kb_09-002.htm

and installed them in my mid blue cab. I felt a performance improvement from this maintenanc item along with the new coil installed at the same time.

They are only available red, yellow or blue. I was concerned about the departure from factory black but have received several compliments on them since installing.

I prescribe the styling concepts of the "slow and even-tempered", but I doubt that they will make a movie of that!

Get the wires if you want the looks, but expect no performace gain.

On edit - If your wires are in need of replacement in the first place, then there may be something to be had.

Yep I had those in my Cab too... Although they were taken out after a month. IMHO they looked a bit Ricey I changed all of my Blue silcone parts back to black.

got new wires along with plugs, distributor, etc.. in December, IIRC, so they're fairly new - no need to change from a performance standpoint... simply aesthetic reasons. it may look 2fast, 2rice ( the 2nd sequel ) if I color-tubbed all the stuff in there, but the porsche lettering on my cam cover is blue and I think blue wires ( only ) would compliment that

I'll check out the set from Paragon.

I'd just like to say I'm a big fan of Laurel and Hardy Rustech...

Right I'll go now before I get in trouble for being off-topic.

Cheers, Deano.
