Trying this again one last time... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I've got Finals Hell approaching, and then graduation, then the Bar in July. I'd love to get a couple of folks together to do belt changes in late May early/mid June.

Anyone have the expertise/tools and a Saturday or Sunday free? What's your poison?

Anyone else in the SoCal area needing to do a belt swap? I can organize the logistics, but I don't have the expertise or tools.

Also, anyone up for producing a (heavily disclaimed! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> how-to video that others can use when doing their own belts? We could put it up as a QuickTime stream or make it available via on-demand DVD publishing; I've got two camcorders, some tripods, a reasonably high quality digital still camera, and "mad Final Cut Pro skillz."

Ping me here and/or at harshman@gmail.com

Normally this kind of thing falls on me because I have done this before and I have some of the tools, but as Kahn said to Captain Kirk, " Time is a luxury you (I) can't afford".

I am willing to lend out my thin wrench and flywheel lock, but summer projects have got me booked.

unfortunately, this moment has likely come and gone - it just didn't come together right - the next best shot is at eric's whenever he decides to do his belts

Hey, I'm the first best shot! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/unsure.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

It wouldn't make much sense for me to volunteer for two reasons:

1. School is tearing me apart and barley have enough time to drive it, let alone work on it. Probably going to continue into the summer to finish this up sooner.

2. I intend on doing variocam at the same time and refreshen the head (front seals, pumper, rollers also), so I'm going to have my car apart probably for a week if everything goes well.

Yeah, school's an issue for me as well. Finals start May 3rd, end the 10th, then a brief respite; graduation the 22nd, start BarBri the 23rd, take the Bar the end of July.

How's August look for everybody? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I'm loath to park her for every time I do she gets cranky and something breaks.

I'm equally loath to drive her without a belt swap.

I'm also more or less broke, after ponying up $3500 for BarBri, $900 in bar fees, $400 for PMBR, $700 for a new Dell laptop (my PowerBook isn't good enough for the craptastic SofTest software used by the Bar), bringing tuition fully up to date, etc., etc. :\ Scholastic poverty sucks.

Greimann, :lola: That was great! good one.

And the real reason nobody want to help........they're afraid you WILL pass the bar.

There you go again with that bar talk again, (refering to the false light)(beer?)

Just foolin' around, not to be taken seriously.
