1994 Porsche 968 Cabriolet. Guards red with black leather interior. 3.0 liter, 236 hp DOHC I4 front mounted engine with manual 6 speed rear transaxle. 66,000 miles.
The car has been gone through top to bottom, front to back. The exterior was clayed, buffed and polished to a high gloss. The interior was totally disassembled: the leather seats were repaired; the carpeting shampooed; the dash was taken apart, all electrical contacts were cleaned or, if necessary, resoldered; all gauge lights were replaced; and sound deadening materials was inserted in the door panels. New door and trunk seals were installed. Numerous cracked or broken plastic pieces were replaced - including the front lower ‘batwing' spoiler. The convertible top was dyed, resealed and has no leaks. All engine seals, gaskets and hoses were replaced, and there is no fluid leakage. Everything works as it should, and I would not hesitate to take it on a cross country journey.
I am the third owner of this car. I purchased it from the second owner in California after running a CARFAX), and having a CarChex mechanical inspection performed (copies available on request).
The car is a blast to drive. The engine pulls hard and the transmission shifts smoothly. It corners like it is on rails. I get compliments every time I take it out and no one believes it is over 20 years old. Am selling in order to purchase another 968 to work on next winter.
