I have just bought a 1995 968. In my search for a 968 I noticed that some (various years) had 'full' back seats, and others had a kind of 'partial' back seat (seat & headrest section leather/vinyl with the middle section just carpet). Can someone tell me if this was an option (option code?), and for what year(s). Also, is it possible to get a 'full' back seat from a wreck, dismantler or someone parting out, and install them in a vehicle that only has the 'partial' back seats?

Thanks for the information. I have learned more from this site leading up to my 968 purchase than anywhere else. I hope to be able to contribute back as time goes on!

Consider yourself lucky to have the later style of back seats. They weigh a little less, they look just like 911 back seats, and they set the 968 apart from the 944. Well that's just my 2 cents. What color is your interior? Maybe we can trade rear seats if you want.

I just removed my back seats. They are black "late style" I may be looking to get rid of.
