skirting the issue
#1

in preparation for the upcoming journey to hershey, i started working on the trailer

the biggest change is in the aerodynamics. i had already installed the nose cone on the front and the airtabs on the rear. i had also installed the rear deflector on the denali.

the latest addition is the skirting around the bottom of the trailer to prevent the air from getting under there and causing drag. big rigs do this too, and claim large gains in fuel economy.

i added a 6" aluminum diamond plate skirt, and to that i added a 4.5" rubber skirt that has a rigid tube-like bottom to prevent flex. this runs around all 3 sides and along the tongue.

i'll report back with fuel economy changes.
