Hi,

Im Steve, a UK 968S owner, a car Ive had for about 15 years. Its been used very little the last 5 and has suffered from the neglect. Ive decided to bring the car back into use and am renewing a past aquaintance with Porsche mechanical work as we speak. Belts steering for sure and possibly cam timing components are the first stage, hence my joining here. Hope to learn something and am sure the forum will be useful!
Welcome. Take care of that car!!!
Thanks, will do!
Hi

I am in the UK also, I am an ex Jaguar Technician and have had 90% of my 968 in bits,

If i can help drop me a line,

I live right by J26 of the M25

Welcome back Steve
Hey thanks! I’ll bear that in mind if I get stuck. I’m actually outside the 25 near Wokingham. Never had the 968 in good enough order here to drive into the smoke , I use my Ford for that at the minute! I’ve decided to pull the cams and do a varicam overhaul so am pushing boundaries a little for a 968 engine newbie. I’m sure the forum will be a help if it gets tricky though

Steve

As time goes you will find this model more valuable than ever.....that is if taken good care of.

Enjoy our site!!

Thanks, I’m hoping the work does pay back in value, though the key aim is to preserve the car!
