Hello:

I planning my repair work for the spring and intend to replace the motor mounts. The OEM Porsche are extremely expensive--$450+ each. Aftermarket units are very inexpensive--about $75 each or less. While I almost always use OEM parts, that is a huge difference. Has anyone had experience with the aftermarkets mounts?

Thanks

Bob

First question, do you have a tip or a manual?
Good question. MANUAL.

My manual 968 has always had OE motor mounts .   My ( now ex ) automatic 968 had aftermarket mounts when I bought it .  I never really noticed a difference .

A tip need softer mounts. That is the difference. And they are only oem available...
I don't have any issues to report regarding my existing motor mounts--no excessive vibration or anything like that. Given the crazy $$ for OEM mounts and the non consensus of aftermarket units, I will wait until I get everything apart to decide. Aside from vibration isssues, is there any other way to assess condition--leaking, torn, ???

That is perfect. Thankyou oppositelock.
