Figured I'd start with a simple hello in German, the birth place of Porsche. "There is no substitute."

My father passed away in January and I have inherited his dream car. A 1994 Green Cab 968 with tan interior that has around 70k miles on it. That's the fortunate part. The unfortunate part is that it has been sitting for several years. It's also down near Indianapolis, IN so I will not get to work on it much until we move to Florida later this year. I do hope to at least get it running this summer though and thought that this website and it's many members may be able to help me on my journey. I'm looking forward to the pain and reward of driving a fabulous automobile. Take care all!! Tschüss!

Welcome,

Sorry for your loss, but what a wonderful inheritance.

Many resources here, and a friendly crowd that will help you along the path.

DON'T DRIVE, OR EVEN START THE CAR UNTIL YOU HAVE CHANGED THE TIMING AND BALANCE SHAFT BELTS!!! (EVEN IF YOU KNOW IT WAS DONE 0 MILES AGO). Belts are replaced on a time basis as well as miles and you do not want a valve clash.

Enjoy the site,

Jay
Welcome to the 968 Forum.

Do you know what color the car is? Probably Aventurine Green or Amazon Green if its an early 94. There are other more rare greens as well.

Check out the 968 Register http://968register.org for more info about 968s and check back in here and let us know how the resurrection is going.
WILLKOMMEN?....Good advise from Jay....don't even think about starting it now. Do all the maintenance and go from there.

Welcome, and also sorry for your loss
Welcome. You may have a real gem when your done!!

Welcome - once you have 5 posts under your belt you can post pics. Would be great to see before pics when you get down there. Sorry to hear about your loss. Getting the 968 on the road would be an amazing tribute to your dad. If you have the VIN you can sign up for PCA and start taking advantage of all the benefits and resources as you start on your restoration path.
Here's a good list to start with...
