The 3k mile regularly scheduled maintenance on a Vanquish costs $ 3,000. Not covered in the " free " service plan . Yikes. Then again, that's 10X cheaper than changing the brake pads and rotors on the Veyron which is recommended every 6k miles. Oh, the problems of the rich and famous.. glad I'm not one of them
Well, I drive my car approximately 3,000 miles per year and my maintenance is about $2,000 in any given year...that doesn't sound terrible given the relative value of the cars. I worry about the cost of "unscheduled" maintenance...

ok, I have to know - what could possibly add up to $ 2,000 in terms of regular annual maintenance on 3,000 annual mileage ?
lol - don't get me started

The question was meant to determine on what a "normal" person woud spend $ 2k on every 3k miles...I know YOU replace rotors everytime dust might settle on one of them for more than 15min or 10 miles, whichever comes first.. , and that explains why everytime I see your car it looks like you just took it out of the Zuffenhausen shipping crate.. and keep looking for styrofoam peanuts on your garage floor.. but I digress..
Wanted to know if Jay was also afflicted by the same OCD ( but I mean that in a good way..) causing that kind of expenditure on regular upkeep, and on what specifically ?!

Have you ever seen the A-M technicians who polish the shift knobs?

Anyone interested in buying an iris blue 968 coupe ? I need the down payment for another car.
I try not to look at the invoices, but...
Last year was belt replacement, with balance shaft seals and all the while you're in there stuff.
This year was total brake rebuild (Drilled rotors, S/S lines, etc.)
Fluids, filters, etc.
Also, I spent $$$ on Higher Connections wiring harness, probably not "standard" maintenance, but should be...
Coming up...
Cap/Rotor, plugs, Master/Slave, gas filter...LSD...

lol - heck, every time i drive my car lately it costs me a bunch - i just factor it in now, along with the $8/gallon gas i have to run in it - the last couple of months:
get ready for paso run - break windshield - $650
get back from paso run - new belts, gaskets, shipping of tools, yada yada - $450
take car up the street - blow oil line - $250
at least i don't have to repaint the splitter every time i drive it anymore
