What do you get if you supercharge a 968 engine to 425 hp and then take another one and make 'em into a 850 hp firebreathing V8? Said monster is wrapped in a carbon monocoque shell. The top speed is about the same numeric value as our 968's, roughly 265, although in this case we're talking mph, not km/h. Price is not low, a ten percent down is about what you'll have to pay for a new GT3 and walk away debt free.
I'll tell you what you get. You get a Koenigsegg CCR!
Got to drive one today. Only did a few runs down a runway and my oh my this thing moves. Taking it past 300 was done in like nothing at all and I could have passed 350 too without much fuzz and still have had plenty of braking distance (huge AP brakes). Wide 335's, or maybe 355's don't recall, in the rear and it still shakes loose in third.
And the funniest thing was that I still thoroughly enjoyed myself driving the ol' beat-up 968 home - I must be truly insane

Wow, Lucky you! You must have had a ball
Once in a lifetime chance!!
Must have been awesome.
It was amazing. The Ford breed supercharged V8 went through gears quicker than my wife through a bowl of candy - insane! This car had a normal manual tranny (you can get a sequential gearbox too) and it is the essence of exactness and despite a clutch being able to handle 4 figure torque numbers it is, believe it or not, all-in-all very streetable ride.

Only pics I have I got through cell. But I guess that our photographer took a few (although I wasnt' one of the test crew - I just had to go there and try this one out, can you blame me?).
Wow, what an incredible experience that must have been ! Congrats .
Wonder if DS's 968 would've pulled away from it passing 150 mph

Of course it would have... yeah, sure I might have had to prep the car first ( a quick installation of the space shuttle's rockets on each side of the chassis ) but then.... nooooo problem
If you do that, I'll find another CCR stateside and we'll meet at Bonneville. Deal?
