Im about to change my cap and rotor on my 93 Cab, automatic transmission, would anyone suggest me putting some dialectic grease on the contact points of the cap and rotor. Thank you in advance.
Probably more important that you get a quality distributor cap, preferably with brass contacts and have ignition wires in good shape.
Put dielectric grease on the ends of the ignition wires before connecting to the spark plugs and the distributor cap. You do what works for you...we don't put grease on the center of the cap/rotor as it's "lubricated enough" by the center spring-loaded center carbon/graphite electrode.
Thank you tejon007 for the advise.
