This is the 54th annual event, this year dedicated to Pontiac.
Porsches will be shown on Sunday, August 15th.
This is a really fun day. Last year a few of us met up for the show and had lunch afterwards. Hope to see you there.
Jay
We had a great time last year and it's a great show. We're planning on coming up again...I'll mark it down!
- Darryl
Sounds like fun ! I have it on my calendar. Any post reminders would be great. Will you be going just Sunday ?
I'm planning on just Sunday for certain. Saturday depends on schedule.
It would be great if we could have a large group in the parking lot (I'm not planning on entering the show).
Last year the 968s were joined by Jerry in his 911 and my friend Jason in his Elise.
Jay
Rico,
Last year, we got a little B&B and made it a weekend event but only went to the show on Sunday. Christine just mentioned to me that she "found a new place to stay", so we'll see where we end up. Last years B&B was very nice.
- Darryl
I'll be happy to check the place out for you, or make other reccomendations.
Jay
If I'm home, I'll try and come up early Sunday morning.
and no one will give you any crap about which car you drive...

Speak for yourself Jay.
If were not in Nags Head NC, my son and I will come through on Sunday.
I am beginning to doubt your existence...

I deserved that.
Chances are I wont be able to make this one either as were getting a beach house at Nags head and that's within one of the 2 date ranges were shooting for. But if it doesn't pan out, then I would like to meet you and some of the others. Plus, I havent been to a good car show in while. DC and B-Mores car shows are getting weaker every year.
In the mean time, Pat and Darryl can vouch for me. I do exist!
Thanks Jay! I'm sure I'll find a way to anger someone. I'm like 60 grit sandpaper.
I think the car thing is just envy... :-)
I'll have to vouch for david, I've seen him more than a few times and will see him today.
He's even nicer in person.
Give me a call so I can drop off the pads for you.
I should be going down to see Darryl tomarrow.

He's just saying that cause I promised him lunch.
Just remember, any 2 items from the dollar menu Pat.
Lol! That won't cover my tunnel tolls you bigshot....
Throw in a milkshake at least.
I'll be 10 minutes from Darryl's in a coupe of weeks, I was hoping I could impose on him to install some rear speakers. As soon as our plans are set it I'll let you know.
Jay
Rear speakers are good! Let's try to plan that...I should be around. I think last time we left off, we couldn't get the factory boxes to power up from the head unit but I'm pretty sure I have that licked now.
- Darryl
I have a horrible crackle when I turn right too...GRRRR...it would be awesome to listen to my iPod without grimacing...
I'll give you a call,
Jay
Rhudeboy is a real person!!!
Saw him in the flesh this afternoon.
Now we can put that myth to bed.
Yes Rhudeboy does indeed exist...even though I was beginning to think otherwise. Then one day to my surprise, my phone rang and he said he'd see me in 20 minutes! Speaking on not existing, "Johns968" aka John Gorski always is out of town, working, etc. much like David, but is a super nice guy who hasn't been to any events yet. I met his wife for the first time today (so I know she exists) and mentioned we were planning a couple of things for later this summer/fall and to set aside some time on the calendar. I need to check in with "happysails2you" Kathy to see if we're still on for a crab fun run and a 2nd annual November "Day at the Barn" would be awesome as well.
Now, back on topic...there's plenty of time to plan for this event and it'd be great to have a show within a show. It's a great area of the country and much like Jay and his wife, we've come to love Bucks County and hope to have more trips to that region. I will most likely drive the Cab, but I am also contemplating showing the 911 Targa, but it's probably just not quite ready for this caliber show. It's very nice but has a couple of things that I'd like to address to be on par with this particular event. It does hold it's own at lots of local stuff around here. Besides, the wife always convinces me to take the convertible since she gets more sun than the Targa......huh?

Just wanted to bump this thread, the New Hope Auto Show is August 15th and I and Darryl (and Christine) will definately be there.
As the date comes closer we'll announce a meeting point, etc.
If enough folks are coming we'll mae arrangements for dinner, etc.
By the way, some of you may remember Washington Crossing Vinyard. They are attempting to break the Guiness book of records for largest wine tasting on Saturday August 14th. Arrive no later than 3:30 and the toast will be held at EXACTLY 4 PM. Being a part of a Guiness Record is on my bucket list and this should be a really fun time. So, if you are planning on coming to town that wekend, please join Melva and I for the endeavor.
Regards,
Jay
