I noticed that my brake disks up front are cross drilled but the rear ones are not. Is this standard or normal?
And since I am on the subject are round drill holes better or worse than slotted disks?

on an M030 car, yes that is normal
as for which is better, there are varying opinions on that, and it is largely dependent on how the holes are done
An M030 car has drilled rotors on all four corners as part of the package.

OK so varying opinions from two noted responders. Is it on 4 corners for an MO30 or just the front? I ask cause my car which I bought from Pete has them only in the front, and it does have the helper spring as well as the Koni's and the front rear stabilizing bars etc on the car.

My understanding (I don't remember source) is that real Porsche discs with the holes are not crossed drilled, but that the holes are part of the casting. This is more expensive than drilling but is less prone to cracking. I am guessing that most (all?) aftermarket rotors are drilled.
Lear,
You are correct regarding the rotors being cast and not drilled. In addition the fronts are directional with two separate part #s for left and right.
You are also correct as far as the price goes. I replaced the fronts three years ago and they were north of $450.00 for the pair.
