Last night I watched a Mythbusters where they removed the body from a 928 and reinstalled it backwards so they could test whether the car had better aerodynamics in reverse. Really over-the-top to see the car driving around in "reverse" when it was actually going forward! For the final test, they used a normal 928 to race the reverse 928. Watch this one if you get the chance. I guarantee you've never seen a mod like this before!

have not watched it. But they should have used the same vehicle and ran accel & top speed tests, then reversed the body and did the same. Too many other variables (tires, test weight, condition of engine, etc) to take 2 different really old cars and do what they did.
There comparison car was very different from the backwards car. It was a regular US car with what was probably the 4.7 so it was around 230hp, the backwards car was a Euro S car which is around 310hp. The non backwards car also had the front and rear spoilers, while the backwards car only had the front spoiler. To compensate for engine difference they did the neutral roll from 100mph, but the difference in spoilers and tires I think skewed some of that. At any rate I don't think the outcome would have been any different, I doubt they would found it to be more aerodynamic backwards.
