When I shut the car off with the turn signal on, the front bulb stays lit. While 99% of the time, it's just quirky and no big deal, but last week I parked at the airport on a bright sunny day and left it at the airport lot for 3 days. Result = dead battery. Any idea what the cause could be?

Strangely enough, it's built that way, I believe. I don't know if it's some sort of mistake Porsche decided to pretend is a feature, or some fool somewhere thought it was a good idea, but it's in my manual and it's the way my car behaves.
It is a parking indicator, and yes, it is a "feature". as Moses said.

European thing.. It's common to turn on that feature when your parking on the side of the tight european streets.
banditsc is correct...it is used as a side marker feature in Europe. BMW and Mercedes do the same thing.
