They have been in LA getting refinished...thought i would share one of them with the group. Powder coated centers, polished lips, completely clear coated.
Awesome! Would love a set of those baby's.
Simple, elegant, and I'm sure they look very much at home on the 968. Very nice.
Are they 17's or 18's. Also how wide and what off-sets?
THe deep dish looks excellent.
They're OK.......if you like that sort of thing <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
LOL
Good job buddy. Now let's get them on the car!
they are 17's. here is a picture of one on a 968, so I'm sure they will fit. Not many wheels out there for "us" that have a dish and fit under the fenders.
I have a set on my Black M030, and they really turn heads. I have 17x8 in the front and 17x9 rear. I had to use small spacer in the front to clear the calipers though.
Carl, that's interesting. My previous black non-m030 968 is pictured above with my Ruf wheels on it and I didn't need spacers for that 968 or the Amazon Green non-m030 that I owned before it. However, it sounds like spacers are required to clear the larger m030 front calipers which makes sense.
very nice - i looked at those about 5 years ago - bloody heavy, but a gorgeous wheel - exactly my taste
Link appears to be non-functional. A shame, because I'm interested in what it has to say...
Try it without the period at the end.
I use the RUF Speedlines for my winter-tyres, the front (8J) ones clear the callipers by about 1 mm! Bit scary, but this is the intention? Never heard of an ET of 56,7 (!) before...
Big Carl: where do you get the center caps that actually fit? All other rims I owned used caps with longer 'hooks' to hold them into place...
Can you tell me more about these rims, I'm told they are pretty rare?
Thanks!
Haven't heard from Big Carl for a long time so you may be waiting for your answer.
Oops, I hope he's ok? :-)
Maybe I should send 968gene a message? Or is there anyone else who knows the answer to my cap question?
