So I'm travelling to the promissed land to get my SC installed by the 968 Lord himself and I am worried about the I5 chippy fest that faces me. I could buy a bra or just use some fugly saran wrap or tape for the trip there and back (3500 Km). I don't really want to appear in public with some part of Home Depot on the front of my car. "Dude, nice car, I had to hold my VW bus together with masking tape too!"
Anyone suggest a good way to put some plastic film on the front of the car and have it stay for a week?
You can buy a Colgan Bra set for about $100...most say its not good to keep it on all the time due to rubbing, but its probably better than getting "dusted" on the long trip.
Regards,
Jay
P.S. Isn't that High heels, a turtle neck, suspenders and a bra? (Thank you, Monty Python)
I have to say that spray looks pretty cool, I'm going to try it if I have to trailer any distance - we get a lot of rocks on the road up this way.
I especially like the comment the 'vette owner left on their website - what did he expect?!
Reading the spray on bra info carefully, I think it is meant only for dirt, not rocks. It will help you remove all the dead bugs easier, but I suspect it offers no protection to the occasional rock chip. As I child of the 60's. though, I still lean towards the braless look! lol
Bill
I believe it expands up to about 1/8" thick?
I'll definitely see if I can find that spray. I do wonder how it's not affected by rain but washes off with water easily <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/unsure.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
I'm heading south anyway - "It never rains in California, but girl don't they warn ya....."
after reading the threads title
to actually reading the thread
a little disappointed
Don't ya love misleading advertising but it gets'em in the door <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
How do we know that guy is wearing high heels?
