not a 968, but another toy to be sure - i have been hunting for one of these for a while now - finally found a super clean one

2008 Honda VFR800A

she's in the shop for a couple of days having everything gone through top to bottom - fluids, hoses, brake pads, tires, yada yada - when she comes out, she will be perfect and ready for the season

I had no idea you were in the market for one. Maybe it's just me but I can't imagine you on a bike. I do look forward to seeing it tomorrow if it's there.
sorry - it won't be back form the shop until probably wednesday

yeah - i've been riding since the early 80's - i sold my last one when i got together with my wife - i really miss that one - it was perfect for me - it was an 83 seca turbo, highly modified and fully set up for sport touring - i was long since overdue for a new one - i've been waffling for he last couple of years, and finally a couple of weeks ago i just decided to go for it - of course then, the bike i wanted was extremely scarce - i looked at a few, and finally found one that was clean enough - i really wanted a new one, but i could only find non-abs versions, and i really wanted the abs

finding a mid size sport touring bike, that is not a twin, is really hard - i really wanted an inline 4, but settled on the V4 - i really did not want anything as big as 1000, and 800 is just right - i also wanted a full body kit

that left me with few options

lol - of course i had to immediately modify things to make it more comfortable - this should be a great bike though
flash,

I'm looking forward to your double-DIN NAV system install HOW-TO on this one.

TT
lol - don't laugh - it's getting a GPS and a radar detector
Congratulations on a very nice looking bike!

I really like the Sport-Cruiser style of bikes. I have toyed with the idea of picking up a Suzuki V-Strom, but that went to the "back burner" since the 968 came on to the scene.

My son and I have talked about cruising to Brazil in 2014 for the World Cup of Soccer... Probably will not happen, but it is an exciting thought. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

My bike has been very under-utilized since I picked up the 968. I may even sell it. Although it is a rather rare bike, probably not worth a whole lot...

I don't want to highjack this thread, but I wonder how many other Forum members also have bikes? (Maybe this question and picture needs to be a seperate thread...)

Just sold my Magna VF700C last spring. Same color. [Image: sad.gif]
Very nice. I have had the pleasure of riding my father's on a few occasions. A number of years back he was looking for something sporty yet comfortable. The VFR is a nice compromise. My father loves his and has been trouble free since 2003. Some pretty basic maintenance along with the reputable Honda reliability.

I myself have had a couple of Hondas (2003 RC51 and 2003 CBR600RR) and always appreciated the build quality and reliability. As much as I loved my RC, I decided to move into Ducati and I am currently riding a Hypermotard. A very fun bike indeed that is a blast to cruise around the city.
what color is it? slate gray? very nice
yeah - i wanted a post 2006, as i wanted the updated VTEC - i also wanted the ABS - i did not want the new trans - hence the desire for a 2007-2009 - i got a 2008

yes, it's a slate grey metallic - also deliberately sought
