I am picking up my new to me 94 in San Diego in the morning and driving it back to Northern Colorado! I am very excited, cant wait for the trip!
Welcome!
There are a few owners in Colorado, what a great way to get to know your new 968.
You must post a few times to have all the rights and privleges, but when you do, post a pic or two.
Regards,
Jay
if you are passing by me, feel free to stop by - i'm north of san diego about an hour up the 5 - i'd be happy to give the car a look
Bob- I wrote you back, but thanks for your kind offer. I am trying to make it back to my shop,
www.poudresportscar.com, in Northern Colorado by Saturday morning to start working on the car, but I may try to stop by your shop to take a look. I work at my families independent Porsche shop, and have been working on Porsches for over a decade, following in my father's footsteps. I have a 72 911 race car, but wanted something fun and unique to use as a daily driver. This will be replacing a fully restored 81 Mercedes 380sl and a nicely modified BMW 540i, so it has big shoes to fill. Don't think it will be a problem. The 968 definitely fits that bill! The car I am buying is cheap and high mileage, but seems to be in pretty good condition considering. I am going to make it very nice! Thanks for the kind welcome!
Congratulations and welcome <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
EDIT: There are no cheap Porsches. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
lol - i'm not a shop, but i see how that would have been the assumption - it's just me in the garage mahal boxing up superchargers
making it to colorado by saturday is a no brainer - it's a 1 day shot (a long day, but i've done it a couple of times now, even towing)
so, feel free to pop by - you have my number
Welcome to the family. Sad to see a 968 leave SoCal though. I saw a nice black coupe on the freeway ride home Yesterday. Quite rare to see one in rush hour traffic.
Sounds good Bob- ill give you a call!
Welcome aboard! Be sure to notify the PCA 968 Register of your new car so the directory can be updated. Contact Jeff Coe, jeffery.coe @ snet.net who is the 968 Register Advocate.
Enjoy the ride. Jay, Bob and many others are great resources on this Forum.

zms968 and a buddy of his stopped by today en route to colorado - had fun and hung out for a bit and tinkered briefly - he got a heck of a deal on that car - should clean up quite nicely - i look forward to seeing him around the website
All 968 roads lead through Laguna Nigel, and Newtown....LOL

First off- a big thanks to Bob for his invaluable help and insight! The car is great- made it to Vegas, and are hitting the road for the rest of the trip- 800 miles to go. I'll update when home.
Well, the car performed flawlessly, and we made it from Vegas in 10 hours. What a gem. Ill be around, thanks to you all for the well wishes, and to Bob once again!
glad you made it ok - i was happy to help - glad we sorted out the fan thing too - vegas might have been a problem with fans not working right
