I think I've mentioned elsewhere about the vanishing point on the front of the bonnet(hood)and the amount of 968 still beyond that line-sight. But here's something else. Going round any normal road corner I've no problem judging where the car is in relation to it. But, there's this multi storey carpark I use in town and when you're going down it of the first floor level, it drops quite steeply and curves a bit sharply to the left (remember I'm RH drive fellas, and you gals y'all). Its very difficult knowing how close you are to the rather high concrete (ouch!)kerbs. The car just dips down and round with no reference points to guide me. I'm scared! No problem in my truck, plenty of height to see exactly where I am, plus the big tyres would absorb any out of line meanderings. Anybody else experience similar problems? Or am I the only wimp in town!
Andy
Here ya go. You will be the only 968 in town <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
DaveN help my old eyes out. What is that?
Andy
Not to be a smart ass, but perhaps you should just drive your truck in that lot!
Yeah, I know what you're saying RAP, but the Bouncy Castle just doesn't hack it unless you're up to the neck in snow! Plus I'm a baldy old guy so it has to be a Porsche!
Andy
I'm still nervous about pulling up to ATM's, drive-through lanes, parking meters, and toll booths that have a high concrete berm - those things will scrape the dickens out of the wheels and/or the front dam and I tend to give it a wider berth than perhaps is necessary out of fear... There's less harm in having to reach a little further than there is in kissing one of those berms.
That is a light bar and LED that attaches to your front bumper so you can "see" where your car ends <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I wish you guys from Scotland would speak English. For of of us new world heathens what pray tell is a bouncy castle? Over here I have read that some old baldy porshe guys get hair weaves and eye surgery. Mind you I have just read about it!! Lol
We call it a "Bouncy Bounce" if I'm not mistaken?!

It's a blow up castle that usually hired for a kid's party, they climb inside it and jump about. A bit like a trampoline, but maybe a bit safer! Hence it's bouncy, extrapolate to my 4cab truck which is most defiinitely bouncy! ergo "bouncy castle".
