So last week as I previously mentioned I took a driving course at Pocono in my 968 and got passed by a lot of cars. Ok it's my driving. I am a novice. Sunday I'm coming back from the beach and this 80's civic with some sort of lavender suspension is ahead of me. I pull up for a look. Thing is bouncing all over the road it's so tight. Looked mighty uncomfortable. Of course one thing leads to another. It was like this guy had a fast and furious nitro boost! I won't get into the speeds but I realized that he was toying with my and handing me my lunch. This car was an absolute rocket. Felt like I was standing still at speed. Absolutely amazing. Any sc left? lol
Those boosted Civics can be wicked fast - just look for the telltale intercooler down low in the front grill and if you see one, don't go there or you'll end up as the next day's civicforums.net punching bag story. Unless of course your car has been breathed on by Flash, then have at it and report back here!
Unless you do have a little extra "breath" on your '68, I'd recommend leaving most cars alone. You'd be surprised / embarrassed by what will legimately "smoke" our beloved car on the street.
Get on a track and get some experience under your belt, and you will find that those machines which ate you for lunch stop light to stop light may just have to enjoy a little crow on a course.
Our cars weren't meant to be drag racers. Not many, if any, Porsches were designed to be street light warriors.
Besides Bob- who looked better? You in the 968 or the punk in the Civic?! Like Fernando said, "you know dahlings, it is better to look good than to feel good!"
It's been a while since I looked in the mirror. Lets see. oh my god! I hear I understand except that, and perhaps I still have much to learn about the car, we were even at high speed, and then toot a loo! lol bomb this was one of those wicked fast. should have backed off the first time. Just couldn't believe it. And they were two young punks who ignored my thumbs up to them in recognition of their car. Perhaps they didn't speak thumb! it was flashs extra breath or a new garage to house the 968. Guess what won out?
Ok Stupid Honda Rockets are usually driven by spike head dudes who owe Dyno shops tons of money. Your car is a True Euro Sports car that
can corner and brake vs brake down.
Spike head dudes, ok Pete good one! Actually In order to be PC I purposefully didnt describe them online as I did in person! They had a right front panel flappin which made me stay on their left side. They were burning oil. They just went faster. They didn't look as good!
