I have been getting a light coming on and off just above the turn signal light. It comes on anytime I pull on the hand break and then sometimes it stays on until I drive awhile and then start the car the next time. (of course I have taken the hand brake to the off position and have checked the switch and it is not sticking) SO I took it to my local shop but they could not find the hook up for the computer diagnostic tool. So where is it located?

On another note where is the actual fuel filter located. I know what it looks like but cannot find it in the engine well. Is it located in the rear of the car near the fuel tank?
Looking forward to someone answering the questions! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
I understand that the fuel filter and fuel pump are located in the back by the gas tank. There is a cloth cover in the rear of the coupes that allows access to the area.
the connection port is located on the far right side of the car, inside the car, under the dash - it is a large ROUND connector - it is not an OBDII connector port, so you will need the specific adaptor to connect to it, as well as either a bosch hammer or a durametric - a standard scantool will not work

the fuel filter is located under the car back by the fuel tank, and is accessed from underneath - as i remember, there is a cover that needs to be removed to get to it
thanks flash
OK now what does that light signify? Is it just a hand break light which shows the hand brake is stuck or are there other hidden meanings? I ask because when ever I put the hand brake on , stop the vehicle and shut it off, and then come back to start the car at a later date the light is on until the next time I shut it off and then it goes out. I have checked the hand brake switch and it does not appear to be stuck as the button comes in and out freely?
your handle is probably out of adjustment - it should be 6 clicks to full engagement - you probably have 2 or 3 clicks before it even starts to grab
The big red light is a Master Warning light telling you that there is another warning light on in the instrument cluster. Kind of like "hey man, look a little further, we got a problem".
yes thanks for the info. the master light was telling me my oil was low but due to the low level of the light on the dash my eyes did not pick it up. Now having added 1 qt of oil the light has gone away. It turned out it was not my hand brake but a low oil condition.
lol - yeah - gotta watch those lights, and that one is a bit dim in a lot of cars
