So, if I vote for a socialist am I granted the date with Scarlett and get to keep my 968, or do I have to give away the 968 and settle for a signed photo? Free HBO maybe?
no. you would have to share her equally with all of your friends.
Share the car or girl? Lol

Seems fair. Gross, but fair. So where do I sign up for this socialist thing anyway? There are a few others I'd like to add to the "Sharing List".
Sorry for going OT folks; I'm done. Actually I agree and think DS said it well... if Wall Street is stealing from us, it is no different than any other thief and should be treated the same but our Government won't do it for us... Yes, I vote and I bet most of us on this site vote too... but it really doesn't seem to change the overall direction of our Country... what to do now???
Sharing Scarlett among all is communist theory, socialism is a select few sharing her and claiming it's for the greater good of the rest. Don't debate me on this, I grew up in Romania in the 60s so I know the difference ;-)
Can we just share her and not call ourselves anything?
It's much too simple to say WallStreet is stealing from us. No one minded when our stocks and mutual funds grew way beyond the historic norm. Me included. This sounds like I don't vote. This all occured through a variety of factors that were allowed to develop over time. Darth are you responsible for any of your actions in life? Of course you are or I hope you are! Lol. Point is there is no expectation of being held responsible for ones actions in the political world today. We all own this. Yelling and screaming at politicians at Town meetings is once again a passive do nothing but feel your doing something response by our electorate. Hanging out in public parks and demonstrating against wall street is passive do nothing by the pseudo uninformed. There exists a mechanism for change. It worked last November. The continued voting out of politicians who won't stand and do what they ran for is the way to change. Our democracy is designed for slow incremental change. We all want immediate fixes. Won't happen. Immediate gratification is not designed into our democracy. If it was it wouldn't exist as we know it. Excuse me for this continued soap box diatribe .
if only we had a democracy, and not a republic.
but how would that affect the price for which i would sell my 968?
back on topic now
" if only we had a democracy, and not a republic. but how would that affect the price for which i would sell my 968? back on topic now "
100,000 rubles & 5 kopecks .
What the hell? How did this thread end up here? I caught page one a few days ago but didn't reply with my price. I come back today and read page 4 and were talking politics.
LOL, It's like listening to my wife and mother in-law. They cant stay on topic long enough to even answer each others questions before one of them brings up what happen to Jimmy, which goes to the fridge going out which goes to...
wait, you're married to a Kardashian sister ?? .. ;-)
Yeah, no kidding guys, this is about what we'd sell the 968 for, not for how much you can buy any given congress representative.. The voting thread addresses that topic.

i find myself wondering if i wouldn't just be better off letting it go and moving on to something else. as much fun as i've had with the car, i like driving the SL550 better on weekend wine trips (which is what we bought the 968 for) that means that the 968 doesn't get driven much at all. it isn't small enough for me to really have fun int he canyons. it isn't fast enough for me to have fun on the track (not even supercharged). it isn't big enough to adequately carry the weekend of stuff.
still, i love the car. i am staring at $20 in work to make it new again, but is it worth it? should i just get something else?
so, what i would sell it for becomes a moving target, varying with my mood over the year.
I'll give you $25 Bob and even pick it up at my expense! You'll make $5.00 for doing nothing <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
I'd price my humble little 68 at $30K
Now If Seinfeld were to approach me and say "i want that Porsche" and began pulling out his check book. i think Id ask for 75K
If Seinfeld wanted it, my price goes to $ 1 Mil, reportedly that's his weekly syndication royalties take in ..
Bob if you had a larger garage and didn't have to keep juggling cars around perhaps you would feel differently
lol - true enough. i miss my shop. i had room for a dozen cars. of course, that still wasn't enough space. at the time, i had 12 cars, 6 motorcycles and 2 trailers.
clearly i have therapy in my future.
Forget that. Knock back a few and buy a bigger house with a big garage and a barn in the back! Lol
Flash polish your wheels and you'll fall in love with the car all over again :-)
