Hoping to one day buy a convertible 968.
Welcome.

With the way prices are at the moment, there is "no time like now"! It seems that prices are starting to slowly creep upward, so stay active in your search and you will come across a deal "to good to miss".
Welcome to the forum. After a few years of keeping my eye on the market, I bought mine about a year and a half ago thinking it HAD to be the bottom of the depreciation curve. Well, turns out prices are still down, so I'd say go ahead and jump in! Buy the best one you can afford, as bringing one that 'needs some work' back up to par can be very expensive - ask me how I know!
Lived in Woodstock. Some other ATL guys around as well. Some really nice roads up your way and North of you around the lake.

Agree with Austin - spend what you can and plan to spend more or put in the time to get the car up to your standards. There is a PPI checklist on the site that you should check out. As you likely know these are limited number cars, so be patient and get what you want.

Good luck and keep us posted!
Welcome!

By the way, PPI = Pre-Purchase Inspection.

If you have time, search for the term "There are no cheap Porsches" and read our comments on what it takes to get into a 968 - e.g. buy one for $20K that's perfect, or spent $15K up front and $5K in fixes, or,... well, you get the idea.
