Interesting battle with the #3 BMW...
I enjoyed the "in car" sounds right at the end.

Nice, looked like you had a good battle with the BMW all year. Hope it wasn't something major there at the end.

Looks like you've got a lot more power on the straightaways now with the turbo engine compared with previous years. Has the 951 engine introduced more reliability problems than the 968 engine? Also, what springs rates, tire sizes and alignment settings are you using?

The engine went to the big race track in the sky. The #2 rod bearing went and sent the rod out the side of the block. This was 3.5 hours into an 8 hour endurance race.

I had a few things go wrong that were turbo related but overall it was pretty reliable. I got over 5000 race miles on the 951 engine before it died.
You want all the secrets!? 700# F / 900# R, 275's at every corner.

Erik great video. However you could lose the music, the sound of the 968 makes great "music".

Erik - always enjoy your season video - that's a keeper :-)

Hi Eric, sorry to hear about your engine. Are you going to build another like it? The turbo certainly made the care more competitive. The only consolation is it was the end of the season. I was driving Bryan's ChumpCar Miata in the late October race at Portland and the engine blew up at about the same spot 9 hrs. into the 12 hrs.
Cheers,

+1 Erik - I particularly liked the yellow Firebird that passes you at the end of the straight and you just take the spot right back by going deeper on the brakes. Sorry about your engine but I'm sure you'll be back new and improved for next season.
