Hello everybody. As a new member on this site, it is good to have found what seems to be a very active 968 forum. My recent acquisition is a blue 1992 Tiptronic Coupe, and as such is one of only 43 on the road in the UK. I use for lots of pleasure and leisure and to enjoy the commute into London Heathrow Airport every day. I have done 4k miles since buying it in early September 2011. Trouble free except for the microswitch on the tiptronic manual select which got fixed under the dealer's warranty.
I am based in Tadley, Hampshire, UK, and have not yet seen another 968 in the area. All the best, Ben
Welcome,
Please enjoy the site and we look forward to your participation.

Jay
Welcome!
Post a picture as soon as you have reached the appropriate level...

The 968 is the best of the breed. Enjoy! Oh and this thread is...
Welcome! Enjoy and drive. Are you a pilot?
A dealer fixed something under warranty on a 19-year old car? You must have better service than we see in the States.
Welcome. I've been through Heathrow enough times to know that I don't envy your commute, but in a 92 tip it can't be all bad.
@Langley I know it is probably somewhere in the site, but at what level are members able to upload pics in their posts?
Thanks for the welcome everybody. I will look into getting a photo up soon.
The dealer who sold with a 6 month warrranty was one of our independent Porsche specialists, namely Autobahn of Coventry. Regarding Heathrow, regrettably not a pilot which I would have enjoyed as a acreer, although I have been a cross country glider pilot, but my job is as an airport planner and design engineer currently working on projects at LHR.
I've got friends and employees in Coventry - and a factory in Four Ashes, Wolverhampton. Cheers.
I loved flying into Britain. Always folks off of the end of the runway to wave to who would take down your tail number. Great times in Mildenhall at the Smokehouse or Bird in the Hand and going to the Duxford Museum...
Still need pics...
A great upgrade! After 6 944's, I could not go back, after enjoying two 968's!
Enjoy...sounds like you got a great 968!
